A place that
breaks the mould.

And that’s exactly why it fits so perfectly on the slopes. Casual beats meet Alpine delights.

Concept development:

the creation of a new type of ski lodge with a unique character and an innovative concept.

hendl fischerei

A place that wasn’t meant to be just another ski lodge, but one that transforms the traditional ski break into something unique. This was precisely the idea behind the hendl fischerei, situated at the Asitz mountain station in Leogang. Since December 2015, the venue has combined the “mama thresl” concept with the atmosphere of a mountain refuge, becoming an elegant meeting place for outdoor enthusiasts and design lovers.

The core theme is a personalized concept, which is particularly evident in the design. In collaboration with the Carinthian wood sculptor Gottfried Kaschnig, Huwi and Renate Oberlader have created a completely new way to take a break while on skis. The result? A work of art accessible from the slopes, which stands out for its unique character.

From a culinary point of view, too, the hendl fischerei goes its own way. As well as Huwi’s classic grilled chicken, the menu features fresh fish and crisp salads, accompanied by a selection of wines and drinks. On sunny days, the glass roof opens at the touch of a button, letting in the sunshine, the mountain views, and the soothing sounds.

This is where the Alps meet the urban lifestyle. Until 2015, the HOTELMARKETING GRUPPE led the conceptual design of the hendl fischerei, shaping the development of this special venue on the slopes.
